Outplay are looking for a and Concept Artist who has the ability to create fun, engaging, appropriate character, set and prop designs for Outplay’s products.

Working closely with project Art Lead you will have an excellent understanding of Mobile Games and current approaches to digital marketing.We are looking for an Artist who can produce concepts in a wide range of styles.

To be successful in this role you will have the following knowledge & experience:

  • Strong and well developed traditional art skills, including knowledge of colour, lighting, perspective, and composition.
  • Strong referable character/environments concept drawing skills required.
  • Strong referable working knowledge of concept art using Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator  
  • Experience or knowledge of cinematic techniques, language and shot composition desired.
  • Demonstrated and recognized innovative thinking and expressive styling that is exhibited through a body of work in Character design, illustration, games, or live action.
  • Strong sense of colour and shape and space.
  • Ability to take creative direction.
  • Can create detailed Character model sheets for studio use (character modelling, Style guides)
  • Clear confident communicator
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. A real team player!
  • Accountable for meeting productivity and quota targets
  • Demo reel and/or portfolio required.
  • +5 years of directly related production experience as a visual development artist, or related, in the Animation and/or CG Games industry/Comic industry


  • Working knowledge of Maya/ 3DsMax
  • Digital painting skills
  • Working knowledge of Confluence/Jira
