To date, the studio’s games have received over 100 million downloads, have been featured multiple times as Apple’s Editors’ Choice and received a BAFTA nomination. Most recently the studio won the 2016 TIGA Outstanding Growth Award.

With a passionate focus on making the best games, our team of 200 talented and dynamic Outplayers have so far developed several critically acclaimed original games which include, Castle Creeps, Alien Creeps TD, Mystery Match, Crafty Candy and Bubble Genius as well as Angry Birds POP! in partnership with Rovio. Outplay’s games have already been downloaded over 100 million times but we want to   10x that ASAP and are looking for a driven, creative, analytical person to manage App Store Optimisation (ASO) across our portfolio to help make that happen. ASO is about maximising an app’s visibility on the app stores and converting that to the highest possible volume of downloads. Outplay’s games are loved by millions of players around the world and the person fulfilling this role will help to ensure they are discovered by the largest audience possible. This role requires hustle, creativity, and a passion to analyse and optimise, again and again.

In this role you will:

  • Write titles, subtitles and descriptions, using key words to maximise discovery of Outplay’s games by visitors to the app store;
  • Research ideas for fresh, visual communication of our games through the app store pages and guide our designers in creation of new icons, videos and screenshots to encourage highest possible conversion from store impression to download;
  • Use A/B testing to evaluate the potential of alternative creative approaches to app icons, screenshots and other store page content;
  • Analyse performance of Outplay games on the App Stores (impressions, downloads, search to install conversion rates) to track the impact of all of the above and optimise, optimise, optimise;
  • Analyse best practices approaches for ASO on the app stores & work closely with our marketing team & marketing data to gain insights into approaches for Outplay’s own ASO strategy
  • Develop and implement ASO best practice strategies across our portfolio.

Key qualities and experience we are looking for:

  • Experience of data driven digital marketing - ASO, SEO beneficial but not essential;
  • A good understanding of the mobile gaming market and app stores;
  • Organised, analytical and detail-oriented with ability to work under own initiative;
  • A keen sense for stand out visual communication;
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written (English language);
  • Energy, drive & an obsession with monitoring and iterating for optimisation
